Rita

Named after Rasha’s three-year-old niece, Rita is an off-white cotton-lawn kurta featuring machine-embroidered Chikankari on the front and back, and hand-embroidered Tatreez on the sleeves. The design showcases the “Star of Bethlehem” (نجمة بيت لحم) — a powerful Palestinian symbol — reimagined with geometric details.

Lined with soft malmal and paired with a scalloped dupatta, this elegant two-piece set is a tribute to little Rita, who remains in Gaza while her father receives medical treatment in Doha. Separated by circumstances, she endures displacement, hunger, and fear — without the safety of his embrace. This piece is dedicated to her and all the children of Gaza — for their strength, innocence, and unspoken courage.
